How to Ramadhan Dish! (Dish 1)

Chicken Makboos

The first Ramadhan dish im going to talk about is Chicken Makboos, which is basically rich and chicken.
Here are the steps of doing it:
  • Boil water,
  • put 1 or 2 chickens (your choice),
  • add the following ingredients in the boiling water:
      • 2 dry cinnamons
      • 1 onion (cut it)
      • 2 paper leaves
      • 4 to 5 pieces of cardamon
      • 2 to 3 pieces of green chilli
      • 1 tsp of clove
      • 1 ginger (cut it)
      • 4 pieces of garlic
      • 1 tsp of salt
      • 1 tsp of jeera powder

leave it on medium fire, and wait until the chicken is well done (when its colour becomes white).
  • wash the rise,
  • Separate the chicken from the water
  • and also separate the vegetables from the water


  • put a little bit of oil in a pot,


  • put the rise in the pot,

    • pour the water that was used for boiling the chicken in the pot,
    • add the cardamon and green chilli in the pot (if needed),
    • heat it with medium fire,
    • mix cardamon powder and cinnamon powder together,
    •  add zafaran in half a cup of rose water,

    • put the mixture of cardamon powder and cinnamon powder on the chicken,
    • put half of the mixture of zafaran and rose water on the chicken,
    • fry the chicken,
    • pour the rest of zafaran and rose water on the rice,


    • when you see that the rice is done put it in a nice big plate,
    • Put the chicken on top of the rice,

    • Add friend onion, raisins and pine nut for decoration if you want.

    And thats how you make Chicken Makboos!
